Kids Nature Walk

Posted on August 14, 2024

This Saturday, July 27th from 10 am to 11:30 am, Jacob Crider, Naturalist for Creasy Mahan Nature Reserve, will lead kids on a wildlife hike through Putney Pond Park.  Jacob does all the children's programs at Creasy Mahan and volunteered at Prospect's Kidzfest.

We will gather at the John Evans Pavilion, in Little Hunting Creek Park (next to City Hall) before hiking through the park to look for plants, birds, turtles, ducks, salamanders, and other wildlife. A parent or guardian must attend with their children.

Please wear tennis shoes and bring plenty of water.  We are sure this hike will be fun and informative.

Please note that the hike will be held weather permitting.
